Historic old bench given new life...
We rescued a park bench from the operations department dumpster that had probably sat in Packard Park for at least five decades. It's steel frame needed welded back together and the old wooden slats couldn't hold much weight anymore. Paul stepped up to the challenge and repaired and repainted it. I wanted to have the name or our organization put on it (Friends of the Greenhouse Consortium), but I just used our initials. It turned out beautifully. Here's the picture of it, I'm afraid to put it back outdoors, as someone will take it. It is in our city greenhouse under the banana tree that will go back into the Woman's Park. Thank you for doing such a great job!
